It may not yet be official, but it certainly feels like fall has arrived!

We enjoyed another season of fun in the sun over the last few months, including our annual stop in Fisherville, two appearances at the Knights of Columbus, a 50th birthday bash and the 10th running of Brantford Kinsmen Ribfest.

On Sunday, June 30th, we cranked out the covers on the outdoor stage at the Knights of Columbus in West Brant for a Charity BBQ & Car Wash.

As most of our family, friends and close circle already know, our drummer Andy’s daughter, Brittany McPherson, is currently battling breast cancer. The Walsh family successfully raised funds on Canada Day weekend to help cover her expenses, medication and treatment over the last (and next) several months.

It was a fun-filled afternoon of BBQ, raffle prizes, soap, suds, sponges and the Best Live Music, Bar None! We even had friends and fans who don’t own vehicles swing by to contribute to the cause and show their support.

Shortly after that on Sunday, July 14th, we made our yearly pilgrimage to Fisherville for the Haldimand Classic Ford Truck Club Show & Shine, one of our favourite gigs of the year.

As always, it was a killer country party with a great vibe!

Chrome-covered antiques and classics, plus the Canadian Model ‘T’ Ford Assembly Team joined us once again, piecing together and firing up the 1927 vehicle in under 10 minutes.

If you Follow us on Twitter or Periscope, head to either one of those social media platforms and check out our live broadcast from mid-July. It’s quite the sight to behold!

On Saturday, August 3rd, we took to the stage at the Army, Navy & Air Force Club in Brantford for a 50th birthday party. Other than our hosts, we only knew a handful of guests at this one, so there were plenty of BarCode cherries popped that night!

The fun thing about this gig was the fact that Marcus, our buddy who booked us, is a former Elvis Tribute Artist and remains close to several folks who are still actively involved in the circuit, so there were a dozen or so ETAs on-hand who kept the party pumping by performing to tracks during our breaks.

There was even a Roy Orbison tribute artist in attendance, who joined us onstage for ‘Oh, Pretty Woman’ and ‘You Got It’. We love making memories for people; it was his first time singing with a live band!

Last month, we were once again privileged to be part of the entertainment roster at Brantford Kinsmen Ribfest, which invaded Cockshutt Park August 9th-11th with a family-friendly, fun-filled weekend.

This was their 10th annual festival and we have been avid supporters of this event since its inception. We took to the Elements Casino Brantford Main Stage on Saturday evening, presented for the second year in a row by BScene.

Coming up, this Saturday will see us out at the Brantford Municipal Airport for a unique fundraiser, which has been dubbed Jayapalooza, in memory of Jason Wagner, with proceeds going to his family.

Those of you who have been around us long enough will know we’re no strangers to playing in an air hangar, having performed under the wing of a jumbo jet at New United Goderich Aircraft, Inc. in Centralia back in 2006.

Although no one wants to hear it, the Christmas season is quickly approaching and now is the time to book live entertainment for your corporate holiday party.

We have a limited number of dates available in November and December; e-mail or message us on Facebook for more details and special event pricing!
