Autumn is upon us and our 15th year is almost finished!

Although we are currently on a break from the bar scene, there has been plenty to keep us busy over the last few months, including the Haldimand Classic Ford Truck Club Show & Shine, Emerald Lake RV Resort & Waterpark, Brantford Kinsmen Ribfest and the Ancaster Fair.

On Sunday, July 15th we made our annual pilgrimage to Fisherville for the 10th edition of the Haldimand Classic Ford Truck Club Show & Shine. It was scorching hot by mid-morning and the ice-cold beers were going down easy.

We love being part of this event every summer and this year it was extra special, with a record-breaking 85+ registered vehicles in attendance, additional awards categories and plaque presentations, all in honour of a decade of this particular truck show.

We’re proud to be recipients of a specially-designed and framed photo, thanking the band for our support over the last several years.

During the evening hours of Saturday, July 28th, we rolled on up to Puslinch to entertain the residents at Emerald Lake RV Resort & Waterpark. It was our 4th annual visit to their impressive (and most importantly, air conditioned) facilities and everyone was ready to party as we rocked and rolled late into the night.

After enjoying the Civic Holiday weekend to ourselves, Saturday, August 11th saw us back at Cockshutt Park for the 9th running of Brantford Kinsmen Ribfest.

We have watched this festival flourish and grow for nearly a decade and this year was no different! The entertainment roster was chock full of the best in local and regional talent, including HWY 24, Blues Swagger, the Checkerboard Floors, the Arctic Cowboys, the Dirty Pioneers, the Atkinson MacDonald Band and headliners Jack de Keyzer and Freedom Train.

With consistent sunshine Friday through Sunday, we are pleased to announce it was a record-breaking weekend for the Kinsmen Club of Brantford. Stay tuned for more information on their 10th annual event over the next few months, taking place in August 2019.

As it does every year, summer came to an end all too quickly, the air turned crisp and cool and we looked forward to a return to the Ancaster Fair on Saturday, September 22nd.

Our last scheduled outdoor appearance of the season, the weather was a lot more cooperative than it had been for us two years ago, despite the drop in temperature.

As a result of the lack of bar shows as of late, there were dozens of familiar faces in the crowd that night, eager to catch a glimpse of the Best Live Music, Bar None!

As we close in on the end of October, we are currently nestled between two private functions. Last Friday we performed at the wedding reception of Stacey Farrant and Justin Bester at the Brantford Golf & Country Club and this Saturday we head to Carmen’s Banquet Centre in Hamilton for the first time, entertaining the guests of Nancy Peretic and Mark Virtue.

Congratulations to both of these incredible couples!

Following that, we are off until Saturday, November 24th, when we return to the Rope Factory Event Hall in West Brant for the Fowler Metal Industries holiday party. We have a few more spots open for special events in November and December; we would love to come play for your corporate Christmas gathering!

In addition to these bookings, Jeff has been ramping up his solo shows over the summer months and has residencies on Thursday evenings in November and December at Jeffrey’s Lounge, as well as frequent visits to Al Dente and Paris Surf.

You can keep up with all of these on his/our social media pages.
